VIDEO: Alabama U.S. Senate race gets chippy, Governor Ivey may have some challengers, Biden meets with Putin and more on Alabama Politics This Week …

(Alabama Politics this Week)

Radio talk show host Dale Jackson and political consultant Mecca Musick take you through Alabama’s biggest political stories, including:

— Republican candidates for the 2022 U.S. Senate race get an early start at throwing jabs.

— Will Governor Kay Ivey have any challengers in her bid for another term?

— Why would Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Huntsville) and others vote against formalizing a Juneteenth holiday?

Jackson and Musick are joined by radio talk show host, Breitbart TV editor and Yellowhammer News contributor Jeff Poor to discuss the issues facing the state of Alabama this week.

Jackson closes the show with a “Parting Shot” directed at himself and others who argue against using pandemic relief funds to build prisons in Alabama. He argues the need for new prisons is indisputable so perhaps using a portion of COVID relief funding is a necessary part of the solution.

Dale Jackson is a contributing writer to Yellowhammer News and hosts a talk show from 7-11 AM weekdays on WVNN and on Talk 99.5 from 10AM to noon.
