The day of the 2024 U.S. presidential election has arrived at long last and the betting odds have taken shape.
According to numbers from ElectionBettingOdds, as of Tuesday early afternoon, former President Donald Trump has seen his chances climb back up to 57%, still down almost 6% from what they were a week ago but up six percent from the barely 51% they dipped to over the weekend.
Vice President Kamala Harris over the last week has seen a surge of nearly seven percent, peaking over the weekend at just over 48 percent, but sits now just above 42% with a 2.5% shift in each direction through Sunday night into Monday morning.
While things are starting to look a little bit better for Trump, it still appears that it will be an extremely close race on Tuesday night. The former President has the edge, but the Vice President closed in over the weekend.
The odds are not necessarily an indicator of who is going to win, but as votes start to be counted today, Trump seems to have a pretty good shot
