Every year at SEC Media Days, one of the annual traditions that fans look forward to hearing about are the results of the preseason media poll where every member of the press in attendance submits their vote as to who they believe will win the league.
Despite all the hype the Texas Longhorns got going into the week, the Georgia Bulldogs still reign supreme as the two-time defending SEC Champions. The press predicted the Dawgs to make it three straight with a victory once again over Texas in Atlanta, but the rest of the standings are fascinating as well.

Behind Georgia and Texas was Ole Miss followed up by Texas A&M, LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma and Tennessee to round out the top half. Auburn, while projected to improve, was still voted 12th behind Florida, Missouri and South Carolina, but ahead of Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Mississippi State and Arkansas.
The margins in this league — especially in the top half — have never been more thin than they are right now, and a legitimate case can be made that half the teams in the SEC have a real chance at winning the SEC title.
There are some truly elite rosters though, and if the matchup in Atlanta did end up being the Georgia Bulldogs and Texas Longhorns, not a whole lot of folks would be surprised.
