BOSTON, Mass. — According to CBS Boston, Super Bowl XLIX MVP Tom Brady is more than just a little thankful University of West Alabama alumnus Malcolm Butler saved the Patriot’s victory by catching an interception as the clock wound down in the fourth quarter.
To express his thanks, Brady is reportedly gifting Butler the brand new Chevy Colorado the quarterback won for being named the game’s Most Valuable Player.
“Malcolm made a huge play to save our season,” Brady said. “It was the perfect play at the perfect time. None of us will ever forget that play.”
Malcolm Butler was basically unheard of before his performance Sunday, now the former University of West Alabama player is a legend in the making.
“I just had a vision that I was going to make a big play and it came true,” he said to a sideline reporter at the conclusion of the game. “I’m just blessed. I can’t explain it right now. It all comes with preparation… I just went and made a play. It’s crazy.”
The truck will probably come in handy for the Mississippi native as he acclimates to Massachusetts winters.
The 2015 Chevy Colorado was advertised early on in Super Bowl XLIX coverage, in a commercial that startled many viewers when the screen flickered and cut out. The truck is equipped with 4G LTE Wi-Fi, meaning it’s a moving internet hub where you could stream the game.
