President Donald Trump endorsed Katherine Robertson for Alabama Attorney General on Friday night, first from the stage of his Mobile rally and then in a Truth Social post that went up before the crowd had cleared the Mitchell Center.
“A candidate who’s fantastic, by the way, for Attorney General, Katherine Robertson, who has my complete and total endorsement,” Trump said as he ran through the Republican ticket near the close of his remarks.
Robertson, who won the Republican runoff for attorney general, is chief counsel to Attorney General Steve Marshall.
“It is my Great Honor to endorse Katherine Robertson, who is running to be the next Attorney General of the Great State of Alabama, a place I love and WON BIG, six times, including Primaries, in 2016, 2020, and 2024!” Trump wrote. “As Chief Counsel to Alabama’s Attorney General, Katherine has proven she has the Courage and Wisdom to deliver strong results for the incredible people of her wonderful State, and our Nation.”
“As your next Attorney General, Katherine will continue fighting tirelessly to Ensure LAW AND ORDER, Champion our Law Enforcement and First Responders, Support our Military/Veterans, Safeguard our Elections, Keep our Border SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Uphold our Constitution, and Protect our always under siege Second Amendment,” he wrote. “Katherine Robertson has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be the next Attorney General of Alabama — SHE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!”

Robertson addressed the crowd earlier in the evening, telling the rally that Alabama “finally got our win” on its congressional map and that it is “only the beginning” if voters elect her in November.
“What a pleasure it is to gather here today to celebrate one of the best things about Alabama, and that is that we are and always will be a deep red state,” Robertson said. “As the current chief counsel in your attorney general’s office, today has an extra meaning for me on a professional level.”
“We’re here today to rally the Republican candidates, and most especially Rhett Marques in Congressional District 2,” she said. “The seat that Rhett is running for is absolutely critical to maintaining a Republican majority in Congress, and that’s why liberals tried to take that seat from us.”
State Rep. Rhett Marques (R-Enterprise) is the Republican nominee against U.S. Rep. Shomari Figures (D-Mobile) in the 2nd Congressional District. Trump brought Marques and 1st District nominee Jerry Carl to the stage Friday who also have his “complete and total endorsement.”
“Your attorney general’s office did not take that lying down, because you and I both know that the people of South Alabama are not going to send a liberal Democrat to Washington,” Robertson said.
“The [Alabama] Legislature drew a fair map with a 2nd Congressional District that leans Republican. The NAACP, the ACLU, the SPLC sued our state,” she said.
Robertson said the groups demanded “two of our seven congressional seats” for Democrats “under the guise of racial equity.”
“The federal court went along with it, and they forced a court-drawn map onto our voters, manipulating the process to give Democrats exactly what they wanted,” Robertson said.
“So, we fought that. We fought that map for five years, and this summer we finally got our win,” she said. “The original map drawn by Alabamians and for Alabamians is now the law.”
The U.S. Supreme Court cleared the Legislature’s map for the 2026 elections in June. Robertson called it a “monumental victory for state sovereignty and the right of Alabamians to govern themselves.”
“One of the things I most appreciate about President Trump is that he doesn’t like to see Alabama get kicked around either,” Robertson said.
She thanked the president for his help in the case.
“We are forever grateful,” Robertson said.
Trump returned the subject from the stage later in the night, telling the crowd that congressional Democrats “voted against voter ID” and “voted against proof of citizenship” and promising that a Republican Congress “will pass the SAVE America Act to defend our sacred elections, and it will include voter ID and proof of citizenship.”
“So know this: if I’m elected as your attorney general, this is only the beginning of the victories that we want to deliver for you all, folks who raise good kids, who believe in hard work, who cherish freedom, and who abhor lawlessness,” she said.
“Do your part and show up big on November 3,” Robertson said. “The best way to keep America great is to keep the state of Alabama deep red.”
