Regions Bank is working to make a difference in the lives of children in foster care throughout North Alabama during the holiday season.
The Birmingham-based institution announced on Thursday that over a dozen branch managers from the area will volunteer at Kids To Love, a Madison-based nonprofit that assists with foster care. The group will specifically be helping with gift distribution.
“Regions Bank is a proud sponsor of the Kids to Love “Christmas for Kids” program, which brings holiday cheer to over 3,000 children in foster care,” said Floresha Watkins, Community Relations Officer at Regions Bank. “Through this community partnership, our Regions branch associates in North Alabama are excited to help make the season brighter by fulfilling the gift wishes of children in need.”

Watkins explained part of the gifting process.
“As part of our commitment to Making Life Better in the communities we serve, our branches receive ornament tags in early November, each with a child’s personalized wish list. Customers are invited to stop by and pick an ornament, choosing to contribute by purchasing gifts for these children.”
The initiative is about more than just providing presents according to Watkins. “It’s about fostering connections, spreading joy, and creating a sense of community and belonging,” she said. “The holiday season is a time to share love, warmth, and kindness with others, and through Kids to Love, we aim to make that a reality for children in foster care.”
“Together, we can make this holiday season special for all.”
Since 2004, Kids to Love has had a direct impact on the lives of more than 275,000 foster youth. Regions also supports education, workforce readiness, and financial wellness programs for Kids to Love participants.
