As Alabama voters prepare to flood the polls Tuesday for the 2026 primary, the Alabama Republican Party is gathering for a time of prayer.

ALGOP will host “Pray for Our State” at 11 a.m. today at their Headquarters in Hoover and is inviting the public to attend.

It will serve as a moment of preparation, the party says, before voters render their verdict on an expansive primary ballot that runs from an open governor’s race and U.S. Senate seat, down to State Executive Committee seats.

Special guests include Alabama Speaker of the House Nathaniel Ledbetter (R-Rainsville) and Senate President Pro Tem Garlan Gudger (R-Cullman), Mobile pastor Travis Johnson of Pathway Church, a member of President Trump’s National Faith Advisory Board, as well as Master Sgt. Donna Johnson, an Alabama National Guardsman, who was honored by U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) as his Veteran of the Month.

The details:

  • When: Monday, May 18, 11:00 a.m.
  • Where: ALGOP Headquarters, 3505 Lorna Road, Hoover
  • Parking: Across the street; transportation provided by ALGOP

Polls open at 7 a.m. Tuesday.
