OWA opens new restaurants and attractions, including pickleball

Downtown OWA in Foley, Alabama has opened up some new venues that will attract visitors to Baldwin County and the Gulf Coast.

The water park at OWA, Tropic Falls, is opening for spring hours seven days a week before summer hours begin in May.

Tropic Falls has added two new attractions which opened this past week, Big Water Bay outdoor wave pool and Coastal Curl surf simulator, which earned the park recognition as one of seven projects up for Business Alabama’s “Project of the Year” awards.

But the newest addition, which will have a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, March 16, is the Gulf Coast’s first-ever climate-controlled pickleball facility.

The facility includes a pro shop, seating areas, lockers, snacks, and beverages available to guests.

Annual memberships are also available which include convenient 24-hour access, exclusive member-only events, and 20 percent off in the pro shop.

Cozumel Bar and Grill, which has existed in Foley since 2010 will bring a Mexican flare to OWA with its Saturday night ‘Latin Nights’, from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. where you can “sip on delicious drinks and dance the night away to the vibrant beats of salsa, merengue,
and bachata, for an unforgettable evening of fun!”

Waffles R Wild Bar and Grill will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner including traditional waffles and waffle sandwiches, hand-breaded fried chicken, waffle pizzas and desserts as well as drinks.

“Our focus centers on offering a wide variety of unique experiences for our guests and we enjoy working with operators to bring their visions to reality,” said Cody Williamson, President/CEO of Creek Indian Enterprises Development Authority.

“These new restaurants and attractions are just one more reason to check out all the fun OWA Parks and Resorts has to offer on the Alabama gulf coast this spring and summer.”
