Alabama leaders are reflecting on the 23rd anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. Several of those leaders posted about Patriot Day on social media, calling on Americans to never forget the attacks against the Twin Towers and the Pentagon that day.
Governor Kay Ivey ordered flags in the state to be displayed at half-staff in honor of the fallen from that day.

Speaker of the Alabama House Nathaniel Ledbetter posted a quote from then President George W. Bush about the attacks.
