Montgomery radiologist Dr. Mark LeQuire named President of Alabama Medical Association

Dr. Mark LeQuire, a longtime Montgomery radiologist, has been named the new President of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama. He was officially sworn in during the organization’s annual meeting held on Friday, April 11.

Dr. LeQuire is a physician partner with Montgomery Radiology Associates and brings more than three decades of medical experience to the role.

“Being a physician is a calling—one that requires compassion, dedication, and a lifelong commitment to our patients’ well-being,” said Dr. LeQuire.

“Every physician, regardless of specialty, shares a deep responsibility to provide the best possible care, to advocate for our patients, and to uphold the highest standards of medicine. I’m honored to lead the Medical Association in its mission to support Alabama’s physicians and improve healthcare for all.”

Prior to becoming president, Dr. LeQuire served as President-elect of the Association under outgoing president Dr. Amanda Williams. His leadership history also includes serving as Chairman of the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners.

A graduate of the University of Alabama’s School of Medicine, Dr. LeQuire earned his medical degree in 1982.

Its mission is to advance the practice of medicine, protect the physician-patient relationship, and advocate for healthcare policies that expand access and improve quality.
