Mike Rogers added to congressional Republicans’ amicus brief supporting Texas’ election lawsuit

There are now five Republican congressmen from Alabama listed on an amicus brief supporting the State of Texas in its lawsuit against the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, State of Georgia, State of Michigan and State of Wisconsin.

As reported by Yellowhammer News earlier on Friday, U.S. Reps. Bradley Byrne (AL-01), Mo Brooks (AL-05) and Gary Palmer (AL-06) were already listed on the filing, and Rep. Robert Aderholt (AL-04) was in the process of formally joining the brief after a technical snafu inadvertently left off his name on Thursday.

Apparently, that same technical issue mistakenly omitted Rep. Mike Rogers (AL-03) and a host of other prominent members of the U.S. House, as well.

On Friday afternoon, Aderholt and Rogers were both formally listed on the updated brief; House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) name was also added.

“Rest assured, I am standing in support of the Texas case before the Supreme Court. I am deeply concerned about protecting the integrity of our future elections,” Rogers tweeted on Friday.

The only members of the U.S. House of Representatives from Alabama not listed on the filing are now U.S. Reps. Martha Roby (AL-02) and Terri Sewell (AL-07). Roby gave her farewell address on the House floor this week after deciding not to seek reelection earlier this year.
