The Alabama Association of REALTORS® is the largest organization of real estate professionals in the state, with over 19,000 members statewide. The organization is proud to uphold the highest standards of professionalism because they believe that buying and selling a home is more than a business transaction – it’s a personal milestone attained by working with a true real estate expert.
Membership in the REALTOR® organization is a professional distinction that places professionals among the top 25 percent of all agents licensed to practice real estate in Alabama. Members enjoy a variety of benefits, including the use of the registered REALTOR® trademark. Take a look at some of the many benefits that the Alabama Association of REALTORS® provides for its members.
Advocacy Efforts
For over a century, Alabama REALTORS® has served as the official advocate of Alabama’s multifaceted real estate industry. The AAR ensures their members’ voices are heard whenever lawmakers develop laws and regulations affecting the real estate industry.
The organization’s lobbying efforts are focused on issues vital to REALTORS®, such as championing the protection of private property rights and fighting detrimental legislation that could adversely impact brokers, agents, and their clients. The Alabama REALTORS® Public Policy Department provides valuable research to REALTORS® on federal, state, and local levels concerning issues impacting real estate.
Access to Legal Forms
Members of AAR have exclusive access to professional legal forms covering a wide range of real estate transactions, from buying and selling to leasing and property management. Alabama REALTORS® Legal Forms are developed by the AAR Legal Team in consultation with real estate professionals and attorneys from around the state to provide user-friendly, comprehensive, and dependable forms.
The forms are regularly updated and are available for download and use statewide as a benefit to active members. Alabama real estate licensees and licensed Alabama real estate instructors who are not a member of the Association may purchase the complete set of legal forms annually.
