The Ole Miss Rebels are in the midst of a season that was supposed to be the best they have had under Lane Kiffin. Prior to the start of the season, the team was seen as true contenders to win the SEC.
As his team has begun to fall short of expectations, Kiffin was not happy when he found out that the Rebels’ upcoming massive showdown against the Georgia Bulldogs will once again be an afternoon game in Oxford:
Lane Kiffin called out the SEC for always giving LSU night games:
“LSU gets to play at night again, I guess? Shocker. That’s two for two for them. I feel bad for our fans not having one night conference game.”

“LSU gets to play at night again, I guess? Shocker,” Kiffin said. “That’s two for two for them. I feel bad for our fans not having one night conference game…so whatever, it’s just really disappointing, but it is what it is.”
Kiffin’s group had to travel to Baton Rouge at night, a game they lost in an overtime thriller which marked the team’s second loss of the season. With two great games in the window, it appears the television networks have chosen to show Alabama @ LSU in the night slot and leave Ole Miss and Georgia in the afternoon.
It was no doubt a tough decision, but with the loser of the Alabama game likely eliminated from CFP contention as well as the historical fact that LSU and Alabama is usually played at night, the Rebels unfortunately get the short end of the stick.
