Glow-in-the-dark kayaking now available at OWA with opening of Aura Adventures

Visitors to Downtown OWA now have a new way to enjoy the water thanks to the opening of an outdoor attraction featuring glow-in-the-dark kayaking and other family-friendly water activities.

Aura Adventures officially opened last weekend and is already drawing attention for its nighttime kayaking experiences on the lake at OWA. Guests can paddle across the water in illuminated kayaks after sunset, creating a different type of outdoor water experience. In addition to glow-in-the-dark kayaks, the company has introduced pedal boats and paddleboards, with more activity options expected to follow.

“We’re thrilled to bring a new kind of energy to the water at OWA,” said Andrew White, owner of Aura Adventures. “Whether you’re looking for a peaceful paddle or a glowing night on the lake, we want guests to enjoy the outdoors in a fun and active way.”

Aura Adventures joins a growing list of attractions at OWA Parks & Resort, which spans 520 acres and is located minutes from Alabama’s Gulf Coast. Owned and operated by the Poarch Creek Indians, OWA features the Tropic Falls theme park, the region’s largest indoor water park, Big Water Bay wave pool, Coastal Curl wave simulator, and a pedestrian-friendly Downtown area with dining, shopping, and year-round events.
