Glow Foundation hosts heartwarming banquet for The Father’s House

RAINSVILLE, ALA. – On Saturday, December 2nd, the Glow Foundation orchestrated a truly memorable Serve event in honor of the ladies from The Father’s House, a faith-based, 12-month residential rehabilitation and discipleship program for women facing life-controlling challenges. Numerous community members, businesses, and volunteers collaborated on the event, which culminated in a banquet at The Barn at Blue Pond in Sylvania, Alabama.

A Day of Beauty and Pampering

The day began at the DeKalb County Technology Center (DCTC) Cosmetology Department in Rainsville, where the ladies received professional hair and makeup services. The facility, generously offered by DCTC, provided an ideal setting with stations, chairs, and styling tools readily available. Many of the stylists and makeup artists were DCTC students who eagerly donated their time and talents while gaining valuable hands-on experience. By the end of the day, nearly 30 women were treated to stunning transformations, ready to shine at the evening banquet.

Evening Banquet at The Barn at Blue Pond

The festivities continued at The Barn at Blue Pond, a venue that graciously hosted the banquet. Volunteers, including students, family members, and friends, worked tirelessly to serve meals, assist guests, and ensure the venue was spotless by the end of the night.

Local restaurants played a key role in the day’s success by providing discounted and donated food, ensuring all volunteers and attendees were well-fed. A special mention goes to those who contributed homemade desserts, adding a sweet touch to the celebrations.
