Alabama nonprofits have just two days left to apply for the Women’s Foundation of Alabama’s Fall 2025 Competitive Grant Cycle, which will award a total of $450,000 to programs advancing women’s economic opportunity across the state.
The foundation will distribute nine grants of $50,000 each to community-based organizations with innovative, high-impact programs designed to improve women’s economic mobility.
According to the foundation, organizations may apply under one of three focus areas:
-
Women + Work – Programs equipping women with education, skills, coaching, and support to access quality jobs and thrive in the workforce.
-
Women + Leadership – Programs building women’s personal and professional leadership capacity, including mentorship, public speaking, executive coaching, and civic engagement.
-
Women + Wellbeing — Financial Wellbeing – Programs strengthening women’s financial stability and intergenerational wealth, such as savings initiatives, down payment assistance, legal services, or debt reduction.
Priority will be given to proposals that show clear and measurable results in boosting participants’ economic opportunities.
Eligible applicants must be designated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, a 501(c)(3)-exempt religious institution, or a government entity. All applicants must provide services within Alabama.
Applications are due by Friday at 11:59 p.m. Proposals may be submitted through the foundation’s Grant Portal.
