Bruce Pearl critiques ‘Gaza Solidarity Encampments’ on college campuses across America

Auburn men’s basketball coach Bruce Pearl is continuing to speak out his mind on the ongoing conflict in Gaza between Israel and Hamas with things hitting closer to home over the past week.

Columbia University is switching to mostly hybrid classes for the remainder of the semester in the wake of the University president having to call the NYPD to break up a “pro-Palestinian encampment.”

Similarly at Yale, at least 45 people were arrested and charged with trespassing while at California State Polytechnic University, a group of protestors barricaded themselves inside a building.

The national organization “Students for Justice in Palestine” has come out and said it will try to replicate the solidarity encampment situation at Columbia across the country and begin occupying campus grounds.

Pearl weighed in on the message from the organization, telling his followers to take them “at their word” when they say things such as “seizing our universities.”

“Once again, please take these people at their word..’We will seize our universities and force the administration to divest, for the people of Gaza!’ Hamas and the people of Gaza attacked Israel, murdered 1200 and still hold hundreds of innocent hostage. Our Universities need to teach the truth and protect their students from these lies and harassment! We can’t be afraid to openly love our country, be on the side of good vs evil, support our friends worldwide and stand up to terrorists and enemies that threaten us!” Pearl tweeted.
