Britt TV ad rips ‘Biden’s liberal spending,’ vows to ‘hold career politicians accountable’

Monday, Republican U.S. Senate hopeful Katie Britt released her campaign’s latest television advertisement of the 2022 GOP primary election cycle.

In the 30-second spot, titled “Paying the Price,” Britt recalls working in her family’s hardware store as a child, which is shown in the ad’s opening frame. The ad features Britt taking aim at President Joe Biden’s fiscal policies and the national inflation crisis.

“My family ran a small hardware store in the Wiregrass,” says Britt in the ad. “By seven, I was doing inventory and learning the value of a dollar. It’s clear the liberals in Washington were never taught that lesson. From the grocery store to the gas station, we are all paying the price for Biden’s liberal spending. In the Senate, I will hold career politicians accountable, put an end to their waste, and lower costs for working families. I’m Katie Britt. I approve this message, because I am ready to fight for Alabama.”

Watch:

In a statement accompanying the ad release, Britt pledged to hold “career politicians” to account and advised that she would “shake things up” as Alabama’s junior senator.

“Hardworking Alabama families, small businesses, and retirees are being crushed by the consequences of Joe Biden’s radical agenda and reckless policies,” asserted Britt. “Skyrocketing inflation, fueled by Washington’s out-of-control spending, is a hidden tax on every Alabamian. It’s time to send fresh blood to shake things up in the Senate and hold do-nothing, self-serving career politicians accountable.”

She concluded, “As Alabama’s Senator, I will fight to balance the budget, secure American energy independence, support good-paying jobs and 21st century opportunity across Alabama, and get inflation under control. Together, we will preserve the dignity of an honest day’s work and save the American Dream for our children and our children’s children.”

Britt will face U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Huntsville) in the June 21 GOP primary runoff election to determine who will get the party’s nod to replace retiring U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Tuscaloosa).
