Birmingham will host 2025 SEC Gymnastics Championship

The Southeastern Conference (SEC) has announced that the 2025 SEC Gymnastics Championship will be hosted at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, continuing a tradition of bringing this prestigious event to the Magic City. Birmingham previously hosted the championship at Legacy Arena in 2006, 2011, 2014, and 2022.

Before the move to Legacy Arena, Birmingham welcomed the event at Bartow Arena from 2001 to 2003. Notably, of the 10 SEC titles won by the Crimson Tide gymnastics team, three were secured in Birmingham, with victories in 2003, 2011, and 2014. This marks the eighth time Birmingham will host the championship, and with Alabama’s strong record in the city, the Tide will aim for another triumph in 2025.

This announcement adds to the growing list of high-profile events at Legacy Arena, which has also hosted NCAA Tournament games and remains a premier venue for gymnastics in the region.

Details on ticket sales for the 2025 SEC Gymnastics Championship will be shared by the conference at a later date, according to an official release.
