(Video Above: Condoleezza Rice and Jenny Oaks Baker perform an arrangement of Amazing Grace)
Alabama native and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has always stood out among her peers in the political realm for her grace, poise, intelligence, and impressive musical ability.
An accomplished classical pianist, Rice often performed for Heads of State and other guests at the White House, but to celebrate Independence Day this weekend, she teamed up with Grammy-nominated violinist Jenny Oaks Baker to record a moving arrangement of Amazing Grace.
The ladies’ performance is shown alongside superimposed images of American soldiers fighting in WWII, Vietnam, Iraq, and other wars of the 20th and 21st centuries.
A screen at the end of video reads: May the grace of God continue to shine on lovers of freedom everywhere.
Enjoy the video and your Independence Day, and never may we forget those who sacrificed their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor to establish and defend the United States.
