TRUK PAC, the political arm of the Alabama Trucking Association, announced its endorsements of four major statewide offices in the 2026 election cycle on Friday.
The group officially backed the following candidates:
- U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville — Governor
- Jay Mitchell — Attorney General
- Caroleene Dobson — Secretary of State
- Young Boozer — Treasurer
“These leaders grasp the importance of a robust and vibrant transportation network, responsible financial policies, and equitable regulations – all crucial for sustaining Alabama’s economy and small businesses,” said Greg Brown, TRUK PAC Chairman.
“Alabama’s trucking industry proudly supports them because they each understand the challenges and opportunities facing the trucking industry and the broader small business community. Their dedication to key issues like legal fairness, workforce development, and industry and workplace safety, combined with their thoughtful and pragmatic leadership, is why they have earned our full support.”
According to the group, as one of Alabama’s most vital economic sectors, the trucking industry provides 133,650 jobs, accounting for roughly 1 in 13 jobs statewide.
Beyond jobs, the industry ensures the safe delivery of 81.7% of all essential goods across Alabama, including food, medical supplies, and construction materials, reaching even the most remote communities.
TRUK PAC says they candidates who are committed to advancing policies that strengthen Alabama’s infrastructure, promote public safety, and foster economic growth.
“These endorsements reflect our commitment to supporting and electing leaders who will prioritize a competitive business climate, foster economic growth, and create opportunities that benefit both businesses and individuals. By growing and protecting our workforce, we can ensure Alabama remains not only a thriving hub for business but also a great place to live, work, and build a future for generations to come.” Brown added.
