They tried.
They tried to tell you voter suppression is real five days before the election. They lied.
They tried to tell you again on Election Day. They lied.
They tried to tell you that Steve Marshall took illegal contributions. They lied.
They told you Governor Kay Ivey was deathly ill. They lied.
They told you Governor Kay Ivey was using secret e-mails. They lied.
They tried to tell you Amendment 2 would lead to women who had miscarriages and who used in vitro fertilization would being charged with crimes. They lied.
They told you Walt Maddox was pro-life. They lied.
They told you Walt Maddox was pro-2nd Amendment. They lied.
They told you the Alabama Accountability Act was a racist money drain. They lied.
They told you that incumbent congressmen were vulnerable in primaries and general elections. They lied.
We could do this every election. The Alabama political media is full of C+ J-school grads who are overwhelmingly liberal, hate the state they live and the people that live here. They are terrible at hiding it.
The media was emboldened by stopping the election of Roy Moore to the United State Senate, which somehow resulted in AL.com winning awards. This, of course, misses the fact that the Washington Post and the national media carried the weight of that story.
Do not further embolden these people. Vote against them. It is the only way they will ever learn.
