The Alabama Farmers Federation has endorsed State Rep. Scott Stadthagen (R-Hartselle) for re-election in Alabama House District 9, which covers portions of Morgan County.
“Rep. Scott Stadthagen is an outstanding leader for us in the House of Representatives and at home,” said Mike Reeves, president of the Morgan County Farmers Federation. “He shares our same work ethic and conservative values, so we are proud to support his candidacy.”
Stadthagen holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of West Alabama and is president of Hagen Homes, Inc., a homebuilding business he founded in 2005. He has served as House majority leader since 2022.
Beyond his legislative role, Stadthagen has been active in civic and charitable organizations. He is a past chairman of the Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club, Morgan County Builders Association, and the Economic Development Group of Hartselle.
“I realize the importance of agriculture to our state, and I appreciate the hard work our farmers do, so I am honored to receive their endorsement again,” Stadthagen said. “I look forward to continuing to work with them to make Morgan County an even better place to live, work and raise a family.”
Stadthagen and his wife, Amy, have one daughter. The family attends First Baptist Church of Hartselle.
The Alabama Farmers Federation is the state’s largest farm organization, representing more than 365,000 member families. Candidate endorsements are made through Alabama FarmPAC, which relies on county federation boards of directors to guide decisions in local races.
