If your family’s home videos growing up were anything like mine, you were lucky if someone remembered to take the lens cap off the camcorder.
And editing? Yea right.
If you want to go back and see that one shining moment from your 5th grade school play, you’re going to have to fast-forward through hours of raw footage that probably took place over the course of months, if not years.
But if you’re the Dittenhoefers of Alabaster, Alabama, that just won’t do.
D.J. and Renea Dittenhoefer had a big announcement to make and decided to enlist the help of their 3-year-old daughter, Bella Reese.
Their efforts were aided by the fact that D.J. has worked on Hollywood movies (he’s now Yellowhammer News’s Video Director) and shoots on the same camera that was used to film blockbusters like Lord of the Rings.
The results, which can be seen above, are pretty much the exact opposite of a typical home movie, right down to the surprising plot twist at the end that sent Yellowhammer’s offices into an uproar when we first viewed it.
