ACCS, AAMA open applications for $400,000 in automotive manufacturing scholarships

Alabama residents interested in automotive manufacturing careers can apply for a share of $400,000 in scholarships offered by the Alabama Community College System and the Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association.

The scholarships are capped at $4,000 per student and cover tuition, books and fees for the spring, summer or fall semesters of 2027 at an Alabama community college. Applicants must be enrolled in an eligible program and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. High school students taking dual enrollment courses are not eligible.

Eligible programs are mechatronics, advanced manufacturing technology, automated manufacturing technology, industrial electronics technology, industrial maintenance technology, manufacturing technology, machining/machine tool/CNC, automotive service technology, robotic welding technology and engineering technology.

Applications are open through the Dream It, Do It Alabama website. The deadline is Friday, Oct. 30, 2026.
