Alabama and Auburn players named as preseason On3 Freshman All-American

There are some young superstars in the Yellowhammer State ready to take college football by storm this season as true freshmen. With On3 releasing its official preseason freshman All-American roster, three players from Alabama and Auburn were named to the list.

The first two were fairly obvious: Former Saraland High School wide receiver Ryan Williams (Alabama) and former Central Phenix City wide receiver Cam Coleman (Auburn).

“Despite being a full year younger than his peers and not being an early enrollee, Ryan Williams has garnered considerable buzz out of fall camp in Alabama,” Charles Power of On3 wrote of Williams. “Williams was arguably the most explosive pass catcher in a historic year at the position in the 2024 cycle and it has already made a bunch of waves at Alabama.”

Power also offered major praise for Cam Coleman.

“Cam Coleman is one of the best receiver prospects of the internet recruiting era. Simply put, he’s a freaky talent at the position at a 6-foot-3.5 and around 190-200 pounds. Cam Coleman has a massive catch radius and is an elite athlete, I think he presents a big time jump ball target,” he said.

The third player to be named was an early enrollee at Alabama who could see some serious playing time in the secondary this fall is things go his way.

Zabien Brown out of California has drawn a ton of praise since the spring and could step in and play a key role at cornerback for the Crimson Tide.

Keep your eye on these three future superstars as the season draws ever closer, now less than two weeks away.
