College football season is right around the corner, and fans of both the Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers have some stars on the roster that they can look forward to watching here in just two weeks.

Clearly, coaches have taken notice of stars on each roster with the release of preseason All-SEC teams as voted on by conference coaches. Alabama had six players in total, two on the first team, two on the second team and two on the third team, while Auburn had a representative on both the first and third teams.

For the first team, it’s three defensive players from the state represented between Zabien Brown and Bray Hubbard for the Crimson Tide and Xavier Atkins from the Tigers. All three are some of the best defensive players in college football, so it’s no surprise to see them drawing attention from opposing coaching staffs.

Alabama had two offensive players on the second team in wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams and offensive lineman Michael Carroll, both of whom are trying to have some big seasons.

As for the third team, Auburn placekicker Alex McPherson made the list after some struggles with his health over the last year, now back and ready to go for a huge season. Alabama, meanwhile, saw both Keon Sabb and Yhonzae Pierre represent a defense which will look to be one of the best in the nation this year.

It looks like fans in this state are in for a tremendous year of football once again.
