ADECA hosting broadband information meetings

With more than half of the counties in the Yellowhammer State already accounted for, the Alabama Community Broadband Technical Assistance Program continues its information meetings road show.

The program was developed by the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs to help meet the critical need for internet access in the state.

To provide information, ADECA has been hosting meetings throughout Alabama and has scheduled meetings in north Alabama over the next couple weeks. The sessions are slated for Franklin, Jackson, Limestone, Lawrence, Madison, Marshall, Colbert, DeKalb, Etowah, Cherokee, and Lauderdale counties.

ADECA is providing technical assistance for communities seeking to expand broadband infrastructure and services. The meetings have been scheduled to produce insights and the data needed to build broadband planning and deployment capacity. The calendar will be updated as more meetings are scheduled. All meetings are open to the public.
