7 Things: Tuberville blames Democrats for Ukraine/Middle East issues; Alabama libraries leave national org; and more …

7. Worldwide anti-Semitism continues to be openly displayed in the streets and on college campuses. In Russia, a mob stormed an airport looking for Jews after learning a flight from Tel Aviv was inbound, the AP called this a “protest” but this was actually a crowd checking passports, breaking down doors, injuring 20 (2 severely) and forced the airport to be closed.

6. Two individuals involved in the Riverfront Rumble have pleaded guilty, there are three more individuals to go. Richard Roberts received the heaviest sentence of four months in jail with all but the weekends suspended, he also apologized to the people he attacked.

5. Anyone hoping for a change in Alabama’s abortion law is probably out of luck according to State Auditor Andrew Sorrell. Sorrell to Yellowhammer News’ Yaffee, “Do you want to be the Republican that votes to weaken Alabama’s abortion law? I mean how is that going to play in your primary? That sounds like a one-way ticket to not get reelected.”

4. Alabama State Sen. Arthur Orr (R-Decatur) believes that if anyone is going to save Birmingham-Southern College, it will have to be Jefferson County or Birmingham because the state is probably done trying to help them. State Treasurer Young Boozer went as far as comparing Birmingham-Southern to a junk bond.

3. Federal prosecutors want State Rep. John Rogers (D-Birmingham) behind bars after he attempted to contact a witness in his bribery case.

2. The Alabama State Library Director reads the writing on the wall and removes the state from the American Library Association after their left-wing turn and criticism from Gov. Kay Ivey. Librarians are now complaining that they feel betrayed by the move.

1. U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) blames Democrats for the situation the world is facing both in the Ukraine and in the Middle East. Tuberville told Newsmax that the Pentagon needs to stop worrying about providing abortions and should instead, “be worried about what’s going on in Ukraine, the Middle East, the wars that their side, the Democrats and Joe Biden, have created but you know, they want to circumvent the rules in the Senate.”
