7. A $500,000 grant from the Federal Communications Commission will be used to implement technology aimed at detecting and preventing illegal cell phone usage among inmates. The Alabama Department of Corrections really needs to combat contraband cell phones in state prisons and jails to improve security and limit these phones being brought into these facilities.
6. The mayor of Birmingham is welcoming Chris Brown, a criminal woman abuser to Birmingham despite his past controversies, including multiple arrests for assaulting women. Mayor Randall Woodfin tweeted “Team Breezy, y’all ready?” days after tweeting about “Women’s History Month” and the “StrongHer” movement.

The Biden administration can finally claim they have helped lower the number of illegal border crossings, unfortunately they did it by flying 320,000+ immigrants into the country to link up with other criminals to save them the hassle of crashing the border. This happens as experts raise issues that program poses a significant national security issues and enabling individuals with unknown backgrounds to travel freely within the country while his supporters mock immigration concerns on national TV.
4. Pro-life advocates are asking Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey to safeguard what they say are millions of lives conceived through in-vitro fertilization by vetoing a bill that seeks to provide legal immunity to IVF providers, this comes after a state Supreme Court decision recognizing IVF-created embryos as human children under Alabama’s wrongful death statute. Tennessee’s GOP blocked a bill that would clarify Tennessee’s abortion law to explicitly permit contraception and IVF treatments, with the bill exempting the use of contraceptives and disposal of embryos resulting from fertility treatments from Tennessee’s abortion statute.
3. Alabama lawmakers seek to get clarity on Alabama’s in-vitro fertilization issue over the finish line and signed by the governor today to address legal uncertainties surrounding disputes over custody or destruction of frozen embryos during divorces or after a patient’s death. IVF services are still paused in the state and the clinics involved have been quiet on the issue over the last weeks about whether they will reopen their clinics when a bill is ultimately are signed in to law.

Ambassador Nikki Haley losing everywhere but Vermont and dropping out so President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump continue steamrolling to their rematch. Some random guy won a Democrat contest in a U.S. territory that can’t vote in the general and thousands of Americans chose uncommitted over Joe Biden solely because he doesn’t hate Jews enough.
1. There were multiple contested races in Alabama’s U.S. House districts with U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) winning a race against fellow GOP Congressman Jerry Carl (R-Mobile) and every other incumbent in Congress won as well. Both primary races for the newly drawn and racialized Second Congressional District is headed toward runoffs with House Minority Leader Anthony Daniels (D-Huntsville) and ex-Obama aide Shomari Figures battling while former GOP State Sen. Dick Brewbaker (R-Montgomery) will take on real estate agent Caroleene Dobson. Additionally, Amendment 1 apparently failed.
