7 Things: Gambling ruling confusion in Alabama, Trump keeps a promise made by every president this century, McConnell begs Trump to work with him, and more

1. Gambling ruling could mean big money for Alabama, but it is still illegal here

— Sports handicapper Danny Sheridan says Alabama is the #1 per-capita illegal sports betting state.

2. Trump keeps campaign promise of every president since 1992 and media acts like rioters are peaceful protesters

— In recorded remarks to a gathering at the embassy in Jerusalem, the president said, “We extend a hand in friendship to Israel, to Palestinians and to all of their neighbors. May there be peace.”

— In spite of misleading headlines all over the mainstream media, Hamas and other radical Islamists urged these “protesters” to attack the gates in hopes of attacking Israelis and planting bombs.

3. Sen. Mitch McConnell wants to work with President Donald Trump on the midterms, Trump should listen

— McConnell has implored Trump to stop criticizing the Senate because it could make voters feel as if it doesn’t matter who is in control, a common misconception amongst Trump’s base.

— If Republicans can keep the Senate, they can continue confirming Trump’s judicial nominees and remake the American judiciary at a record pace.

4. Scummy lawyer of porn star threatens publications with lawsuits for accurately describing his legal practices

— Michael Avenatti, who represents Stormy Daniels for free, is upset that reporters are digging into his shady business dealings in the past and is threatening to sue anyone who does so in pointless frivolous lawsuits.

— It’s odd to see Avenatti complaining about media coverage after receiving $175 MILLION in free media coverage.

5. ALGOP candidate used racial slur, but he wasn’t a Republican until this election

— Larry Lee has been a liberal blogger and advocate for every Alabama Education Association position imaginable, but apparently he feels he can’t win as a Democrat, but he is being challenged.

— During a run for Congress in 1982, Lee said “As we say down home, there’s a n****r in the woodpile somewhere” when talking about campaign finance laws.

6. Seattle creates a tax targeting employers to pay for homelessness, Seattle’s liberalism is not new

— Seattle City Council to introduced a $275 per employee tax on the companies that have profits of over $20 million a year, this includes like Amazon, Starbucks, Boeing, Costco Wholesalers, and Microsoft.

— Seattle declared a homeless state of emergency, this $47 million dollar tax will be used to provide affordable housing and other services.

7. Alabama resident, and no longer kneeling, Oakland A’s baseball player can’t enter Canada

— After becoming notoriously famous for being a jerk and thinking he was famous in a restaurant in Alabama, Bruce Maxwell went home to Arizona and pulled a gun on a pizza delivery driver while drunk resulting in his ongoing legal issues.

— Maxwell’s plea deal included an agreement that he would plead guilty to disorderly conduct. He will be sentenced June 4th and can’t leave the country until then.
