7. Good job, Alabama
- If you are a felon in Alabama, you can not vote and this is a great thing. In Alabama, 318,681 people of voting age are banned, or 8.59% of that population, which places us fourth in the nation in the number who can’t vote because of felonies. But we are third when you rank by percentage.
- Secretary of State John Merrill is correct when he says, this is their own fault, “It does not concern me when you say that Alabama has ‘X’ number of people that are disqualified because of felony convictions related to certain activities because those individuals have chosen to commit those crimes.” Not gonna lie, I am going to miss that guy.
6. Fentynal probably won’t be in your kids’ candy tonight
- Like most Halloween scares, the likelihood of fentanyl making its way into your kids’ bags tonight is small. But the DEA has found the drug in Skittles and Nerds candy-like boxes and the bright color being used by some to make it could make it alluring to kids.
- U.S. senators, including Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn), warned of this and told parents to be cognizant of what is in their kids’ candy bags and buckets. Yes, this is all overblown but it does not hurt to be aware.
5. Elon Musk owns Twitter and the left is having a hard time
- As expected, Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter is driving many in the media and their Democrats insane, as they admit that it was a liberal playground of suppression and regulation of dissenting viewpoints by declaring they will leave unless that continues.
- Complaints of a rich guy owning an outlet like Twitter have come from the people fine with the Washington Post being owned by Jeff Bezos. Celebrities and knuckleheads like Lebron James have declared they are worried they might hear words they don’t like, Musk responded to this sharing the message that, “More than 50,000 Tweets repeatedly using a particular slur came from just 300 accounts.”
4. Americans can watch other Americans in public
- A “non-troversy” over voting drop boxes being watch for malfeasance has been a media favorite for the past week, as citizens in Arizona and elsewhere are staking out voting drop boxes to watch for bad behavior. The media claims this is intimidating for some reason as they always seem to default to the laxest voter security measures available to allow for ballot harvesting.
- A federal judge noted the obvious after a group sued to make people stop looking at the boxes, arguing that there was no “true threat” and they have the right to be in public near the boxes. One would think if people were worried about this, they could just vote at a polling place on election day and they could avoid people looking at them as they drop off their ballots.
3. The shift to the right continues in polling and expectations
- Reality appears to be sinking in for the Democrats as polling and projections show them losing both the U.S. House and the U.S. Senate.
- This new angle will lead to more accusations of extremism, references to the Jan. 6, 2021 U.S. Capitol riots and the loss of our democracy, which haven’t really moved the needle in 6 years but show no sign of relenting. It was not that long ago that President Joe Biden accused “MAGA Republicans” of being fascists while Marines were bathed in red lights behind him.
2. Drag queen teacher is back in class with no explanation
- Huntsville City Schools has reportedly allowed the teacher accused of inappropriate behavior around children back into the classroom but they have still refused to make a statement about what steps were taken after suspending the teacher.
- James Miller is a drag queen and was reading a story to dogs and children, for some reason, when he made risque comments and then asked if the livestream was still going. The lack of response by the school board has led to people questioning what steps the school has actually taken.
1. Paul Pelosi attacked, questions are going to be asked
- The husband of U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Paul Pelosi, was assaulted in his home by a man with views that have reportedly ranged from 9/11 trutherism to election conspiracies. The media has declared him a right-wing nut job to further the angle that “democracy is on the ballot” but he lived in a “hippie commune” with LGBTQ, Black Lives Matter paraphernalia on the property and his activist nudist background has that angle being questioned.
- 2024 and 2016 election denier Hillary Clinton, blamed Republicans for the attack and Twitter CEO Elon Musk responded, “There is a tiny possibility there might be more to this story than meets the eye.” The media insists this is a vile smear and they would never cover-up a story that would hurt a Democrat family member, like Hunter Biden, and any assertion to the contrary is dangerous. The media now insists you stop criticizing Nancy Pelosi and vote for Democrats.
