7 Things: Hamas flags fly in New York, Trump asks “are we going to win?”, Huntsville Antifa terror cell, and more…

7. Governor Kay Ivey declared a seven-day state of emergency for 40 counties as a hurricane watch covered the Alabama coast, saying forecasts show Tropical Storm Isaias “could impact Alabama as a hurricane as early as Friday,” while Gulf Shores gas stations ran out of fuel, bread and water, Orange Beach Councilwoman Ginger Harrelson said, “My advice would be to not come,” and “stay safe and pray.”

6. After President Donald Trump believes Alabama might name “the damn bridge after me,” Mobile County Republicans split on the $4.15 billion I-10 span, with State Rep. Chris Pringle (R-Mobile) saying, “I don’t think we should name buildings and bridges after people who are still alive,” State Rep. Chip Brown (R-Hollinger’s Island) saying a Trump name “is very fitting,” and State Sen. Chris Elliott (R-Josephine) saying he’s still preferring Jimmy Buffett.

5. Montgomery Public Schools might alter Friday’s school schedule after Alabama State’s homecoming game against Florida A&M was moved to 11 a.m. Friday because of Tropical Storm Isaias, citing a “significant increase in employee leave requests” among teachers, bus drivers and support staff and warning that substitutes may not cover the schools.

4. New York-based PEN America is hell-bent on pretending that they believe Alabama’s law requiring “Gulf of America” in official communications is a “gag order,” with Jonathan Friedman saying the state is “violating basic principles of free speech.”

3. Federal complaints in North Alabama charge Levi Belcher, Anthony Slota and Tadashi Erekson after investigators said Belcher posted that he would “gun down an ICE agent on sight,” and a search of a Huntsville apartment where the three were living turned up unregistered short-barrel firearms, 3D-printed weapon parts and anti-fascist markings, with Slota and Erekson charged under the National Firearms Act.

2. Alabama Republican Party Chairman Scott Stadthagen (R-Hartselle) said President Donald Trump pulled him aside in Mobile and asked, “Are we going to win?”, and Stadthagen told him Governor-elect National Championship-winning Coach U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) will beat Doug Jones, the cowardly caretaker former junior senator in an ill-fitting suit, who looks like he just woke up and stole his shoes from a homeless person, who will never be governor, attorney general, or U.S. Senator again, loves crushing ice cream sandwiches, and is definitely maybe a furry, and that State Rep. Rhett Marques (R-Enterprise) can flip the 2nd District against incumbent Shomari Figures (R-Mobile).

1. While Hamas flags flew in New York, where Mayor Zohran Mamdani was booed for what they wrongly believed was a pro-Israel message at an Oct. 7 vigil by protesters chanting, “Zohran you can’t hide, we charge you with genocide,” Alabama officials easily condemned the 2023 attacks, with Gov. Kay Ivey saying, “we will never forget who is responsible,” U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) calling it “the deadliest day since the Holocaust,” and U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) saying, “America will never forget this evil and will always stand with Israel.”
