7. In case of emergency, call Gloria Allred
- Just like when the allegations against Brett Kavanaugh collapsed, another accuser has come forward to allege Herschel Walker had them get an abortion, the accuser is unnamed.
- Jane Doe, not her real name, said, “He has publicly taken the position that he is about life and against abortion under any circumstance when in fact he pressured me to have an abortion and personally ensured that it occurred by driving me to the clinic and paying for it.”
6. Old man is confused and yelling about racism … in airline pricing?
- President Joe Biden is about to lead his party to a crimson tide of an election loss so he has decided to tackle an important racial issue: airline fees and leg room.
- Speaking incoherently, Biden yammered, “Some airlines, if you want six more inches between you and the seat in front, you pay more money but you don’t know it … these are junk fees, they’re unfair and they hit marginalized Americans the hardest, especially … people of color.”
5. Fetterman/Oz debate moves undecides
- Because the debate between John Fetterman and Dr. Memhet Oz went so poorly in Pennsylvania, Democrats are claiming the criticism of Fetterman is ableist and suggesting the candidate for U.S. Senate should be cut some slack. Politico explained this by writing, “the Fetterman campaign gambled that the media would educate voters about his auditory issues and then referee any attacks on him with charges of ableism.”
- Defending Fetterman isn’t working and some polling shows he is losing support quickly, Fetterman had a 16-point lead at one point and now there are polls showing him up 2 and one showing down almost 5 points.
4. 600 guns stolen from Birmingham cars
- Alabama Appleseed’s researcher Eddie Buckhalter, former journalist and plumbing supply salesman, deleted his Twitter account after arguing with aldotcom’s Carol Robinson about the number of murders in Birmingham/Jefferson County as part of a losing argument about how safe Birmingham is.
- Carol Robinson filed a yesterday that gave another peek into the dangers of Birmingham, she reported 600 guns have been stolen from cars in the city. This is up from 517 in all of 2021.
3. Christmas parade attacker terrorist murderer found guilty on all counts
- A man who intentionally drove a car into a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wis., killing six and injuring dozens, has been convicted on all charges after a chaotic trial where he acted as his own attorney. He was convicted of intentional homicide.
- When the attack occurred, the media downplayed the intentionality of the attack and suggested he was being chased by police which caused him to enter the parade route instead of targeting the parade as an act of violence, as if that would be better.
2. Tuberville addresses “reparation” comments again
- In a sit-down interview with Fox 10 in Mobile, U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) reiterated that his comments about crime in America, “had nothing to do with race. Crime has no color.” His use of the word “reparation” was seized on to say he was being racist and that only blacks and Democrats commit crimes. This is a lie.
- Tuberville wants all politicians to unite against crime but believes his Democratic colleagues in the U.S. Senate will not: “We’ve got crime all over this country. And the people, the taxpayers, deserve safe streets, safe neighborhoods. But my colleagues on the left, for some reason, they won’t come out and speak out against it. Our criminal justice system is out of whack. We don’t put anybody in jail. We don’t hold anybody accountable.”
1. Britt says education is driving Republican momentum in the midterm
- Future U.S. Sen. Katie Britt says “enough is enough” and it is time for parents to stand up and let their voices be heard in Alabama and beyond. She noted the Republican Party’s focus on real American values is the reason for the coming crimson tide, “We look at our values, this party’s values: faith, family, freedom and opportunity”
- Britt thinks it is about more than Washington, D.C., and she is right: “(It) doesn’t matter if you’re talking about a school board election or all the way to the United States Senate, because we see the country that our children are growing up in and we know the country that we grew up in. And honestly, while it’s not too far apart, it right now seems worlds and worlds away.”
