7. Huntsville will vaccinate children today against W.H.O. guidance
- An “optional” vaccination drive put on by Huntsville City Schools will go on today, as children 14 and above will be vaccinated without parental consent. This goes against the W.H.O., which says there is no urgent need to vaccinate children right now, and there are questions about inflammation in young people who have been vaccinated.
- According to the W.H.O., because children experience milder symptoms and generally lack the pre-existing conditions that would put them at risk, vaccinating young people is not a priority at this time. The organization’s website states, “More evidence is needed on the use of the different COVID-19 vaccines in children to be able to make general recommendations on vaccinating children against COVID-19.”

5. Democrats continue their fight against the filibuster
- After Republicans blocked the federal election bill, H.R. 1, Democrats have once again criticized the filibuster and even President Joe Biden for the bill’s failure. U.S. Representative Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) claimed that “the American people support H.R. 1 overwhelmingly.” He added, “The president needs to lead out front and be very vocal on the issue.”
- White House press secretary Jen Psaki responded to some of the criticisms, emphasizing where Biden stands on election laws. However, U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said if Republicans won’t “protect the rights of people of color, young people, people with disabilities to cast a ballot, the United States Senate has got to act and if it takes 50 votes and the vice president, that’s what it takes.”
4. Most people believe COVID-19 came from a lab
- New polling data suggests that overall, 60% of voters in the United States believe that the coronavirus came from a lab leak in a Wuhan, China facility. Broken into party, 41% of Democrats and 79% of Republicans support this idea.
- In total, only 31% of people think the virus evolved naturally. There are also 50% of voters who think the pandemic is permanently changing how people in the country live, and there are 70% of people who believe working from home is actually a good thing.
3. Brooks wants China held accountable to the tune of billions
- U.S. Representative Mo Brooks (R-Huntsville) has brought a bill called the “China COVID-19 Restitution Act,” which would require China to pay trillions for the damages caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
- Brooks said, “China knowingly created COVID-19 in the Wuhan Institute of Virology without implementing the necessary containment measures needed to prevent COVID-19 from circling the globe and killing millions.” Brooks also pointed out how China was deceptive about the virus from the beginning and the hurt that this caused across the world, especially in the United States with deaths and income loss.
2. Parents are winning the Critical Race Theory fight
- The Critical Race Theory fight has quickly become the number one battleground for the left-right fight in American politics at this time. Liberals have decided the best tactic is to employ academic and culture warriors to promote CRT while pretending it does not exist and attempting to paint their opponents as ignorant, racists or tools of the Republican Party.
- But this is not about GOP politicians and talking heads. Parents are leading this fight. Big wins are being racked up in California, Oregon, Georgia, Texas, Florida, Idaho, Iowa and other states where the practice is being banned in various efforts targeting both local and statewide officials. There are various efforts underway across the country, and money is being raised to protect anti-CRT candidates.
1. Biden is focusing on gun control
- President Joe Biden has announced his plans to prevent gun violence, which will somewhat be through banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. Biden said, “Talk to most responsible gun owners and they’ll tell you there’s no possible justification for having 100 rounds in a magazine.”
- During his announcement, Biden also reinforced his point that you can’t use guns to defend yourself from the federal government because to do that “you need F-15s and maybe some nuclear weapons.” Biden also claimed that they’re just “enforcing” the Constitution.
