7 Things: Alabama Senators slam Bidenomics; SCOTUS meltdown continues; and more …

7. Another box office bomb for Disney and “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” after a $60 million opening weekend. It is very unlikely the company will recoup it’s $300 million budget and marketing costs.

6. President Donald Trump’s rally crowd booed U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C) off the stage. Trump did not help him by declaring that when he needs liberal votes, Graham helps him. Embarrassing for all.

5. Another Alabama alligator is back in the news after a dog was eaten in a north Alabama subdivision. The father is worried the gator will kill kids around the neighborhood, but internet trolls seem to blame the father, the kids, the dogs, humans, developers and want the animal to have free rein. This thing is going to kill someone.

4. Twitter is not having a good weekend, Twitter CEO Elon Musk is being crushed for limiting what users can see on the site and a Community Note fact-check on President Joe Biden’s claim that he created 13 million+ jobs has disappeared. It noted correctly that 90% of Joe Biden’s job gains were people returning after the pandemic killed the economy.

3. As the American media pretend that race is America’s number one issue and the Supreme Court went against popular sentiment, recent polling by CBS News shows that is just not true. While split on “affirmative action,” the practice when laid out is unpopular. When likely voters were asked, “Should colleges be allowed to consider race in admissions?,” 70% of likely voters said they should not. Does the media reflect that?

2. Democrats’ attacks on elected Republicans over their support for the end of President Joe Biden’s unconstitutional student loan gambit were aimed at U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) over PPP loans. Those loans were designed NOT to be paid back and Congress passed a bill creating them, huge difference between Biden’s cynical ploy.

1. Alabama’s Republican U.S. Senators are pointing out that Bidenomics is a disaster and is crushing American families.  Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) noted that Alabamians are paying $741 more a month because of Bidenomics’ inflation and Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) tweeted out a dig at Biden, “Bidenomics: 2/3 disapproval on the economy. 3/4 say we’re on the wrong track. $8T more debt and 15% inflation. C’mon, man.”
