7. Former President Donald Trump ACCURATELY called Kamala Harris a “bitch.” That’s it. That is the story and you are supposed to be mad about it.
6. Hamas wants a ceasefire, it is unlikely that Israel seems to be open to it outside of a hostage release and destruction of Hamas. But Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar reportedly seeks a ceasefire deal, according to Israeli sources cited by CNN, with Egyptian and Qatari mediators informing Israeli officials of his stance but some dispute this. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s willingness to agree to a deal remains uncertain, particularly due to opposition from far-right ministers, despite pressure from the U.S. and allies indicating he might consider it.
5. Apparently the Vice President during the Biden-Harris administration, Kamala Harris, is going to stop the Biden-Harris administration’s problems, despite the records of the ticket. Be it inflation, immigration, energy, taxation, and every other issue, Harris is making it clear she has new views now and may even have policies goals within the next week with and interview with a member of the press in a month.
4. Alabama Literacy Act is working, but the numbers were clearly fudged with some social promotion. The Literacy Act requires students to meet specific reading benchmarks to advance to the next grade but some kids were moved forward while being in the failing range. As a result, over 1,800 third-graders are repeating the grade this year and State Superintendent Eric Mackey highlighted the importance of early retention intervention and anticipates that the final retention rate will be around 5%, down from initial estimates.
3. The Harris-Walz campaign tries to hedge as it admits that vice presidential candidate Tim Walz “misspoke” when he repeatedly lied in multiple instance over his rank, service, and retirement but the media continues to cover on the same networks Walz’s supervisor torched him. More video has emerged of Walz claiming he served in Afghanistan AND has PTSD from it, he is busted and everyone with a brain knows it.
2. Alabama lawmakers are reacting to reports of charter buses dropping off what appear to be Haitian immigrants at various locations in Marshall County, with concerns about the strain on local resources being a main driver. The Albertville Police Department clarified that the buses were contracted to transport employees of Wayne Farms, a local chicken processing plant. State Sen. Wes Kitchens announced that the bus service would be discontinued following complaints from constituents, and he called for federal officials to address the immigration issue, while State Sen. Arthur Orr (R-Decatur) criticized the lack of communication from federal authorities regarding these arrivals.
1. U.S. Rep. Dale Strong (R-Monrovia) criticized the Biden administration’s immigration policies, blaming them for an influx of Haitian migrants in Athens, Marshall County, Cullman, and other North Alabama cities, which he says has overwhelmed local schools, hospitals, and public services. Strong emphasized the need to return to Trump-era border policies to reverse the damage and restore public trust in the federal immigration system. This issue has gained attention following concerns in Marshall County over buses transporting Haitian migrants to work at local chicken plants, leading to the discontinuation of the bus service by Pilgrim’s Pride in Russellville.
