7 Things: A bad time for Alabama prisoners; another abortion battle at Supreme Court soon; and more …

7. Another day, another story about a Florida teacher being fired. Yesterday, a teacher was fired for having kids write their obituary before a mass shooting drill and today we have news that a teacher was fired for organizing a 6th-grade girls’ fight club.

6. Fox News’ Tucker Carlson went in depth with Donald Trump with discussions on nuclear warming, him being nice to California Gov. Gavin Newsome, and more. A new Fox News poll shows Trump trailing President Joe Biden in general election polling, independents making up the difference there, while he trounces Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis by 14 points.

5. Illegals voted illegally. Teresa Martin Pascual, Maria Juan Pascual, and Luis Balderman were all charged with crimes relating to voter fraud and identity theft. Secretary of State Wes Allen said, “We will not tolerate a single illegal voter attempting to participate in our elections.”

4. U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) and her giant husband Wesley were at a track meet when one of the kids on the opposing team was seriously injured. The Britts helped take care of the kid with Wesley carrying the male athlete to a waiting car. The student-athlete has a dislocated knee and a long road to recovery.

3. A six-lane I-65 will probably not happen anytime soon, much to the chagrin of Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth, according to Alabama Speaker of the House Nathanial Ledbetter (R-Rainsville).

2. U.S. Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville) praises Texas abortion pill ruling that, when paired with a Washington abortion pill ruling, is probably heading to the Supreme Court.

1. “Good time” will not be so good for inmates anymore when Gov. Kay Ivey signs the Deputy Brad Johnson Act. Another officer who was shot with Johnson, Bibb County Deputy Chris Poole, was in the chamber when it passed.
