56 Alabama student-athletes placed on SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll

A staggering total of 56 Alabama Crimson Tide student-athletes were named to the Southeastern Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced.

Five players from the men’s basketball team were named to the list including Mobile native and soon-to-be NBA first round selection Labaron Philon Jr., while seven members of the women’s basketball team and a total of 34 qualified from both the men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams.

To be eligible for the SEC Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher and have completed at least one full academic year at their respective institution.

Alabama now has 185 SEC Academic Honor Roll selections for the 2025-26 academic year, with additional honorees to be recognized following the spring and first-year academic lists.
