William Bloom expands role with Maynard Nexsen to Montgomery

In his second year as a Shareholder in Maynard Nexsen’s complex litigation practice group, attorney William Bloom will now serve clients in the firm’s Montgomery office in addition to Birmingham, the firm recently announced.

Bloom, who has already established a decorated legal career for himself at a young age, represents clients both public and private in Alabama and across the nation. Maynard Nexsen reports that Bloom’s proven track record and commitment to providing top-tier legal counsel in his expanded role will be a continued step closer to home for the Montgomery native.

“William Bloom would have a successful law practice wherever he decided to plant his flag.  He has been a great addition to our team in Birmingham since he decided to move home to Alabama a few years ago,” said John Smyth, Chair of the firm’s complex and commercial litigation practice group.

“His move to Montgomery – his true hometown – will also be great for our law firm.  William’s deep Montgomery connections will be a huge benefit to our clients. William is an outstanding lawyer and an even better person. The Montgomery community is lucky to have him back home.”

Prior to joining the Firm, William practiced law in Washington D.C. with a national firm after graduating with his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and an undergraduate degree from The University of Alabama.

“I am so glad to be coming home to Montgomery. Maynard Nexsen has offered me the opportunity to build a national and international practice in Alabama, and I look forward to bringing that caliber of counsel to Montgomery,” Bloom said.

According to the firm, Bloom brings a wealth of experience in complex commercial litigation, appellate litigation, securities litigation, and ultimately, looks forward to providing excellent local service to the Montgomery area and reconnecting with the community he knows and loves.
