Wes Allen at the RNC: The Republican Party is ‘galvanized’ and ‘unified’

Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen is elevating the positive energy he’s witnessed while attending the Republican National Convention (RNC) this week in Wisconsin. The RNC has been extra impactful because of the recent attempted assassination against former President Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania.

Allen discussed his thoughts on the being at the RNC this week on WVNN’s “The Yaffee Program.”

“Yeah, it’s a lot of conversations going on here at the convention,” Allen said. “I think it has energized, it has galvanized, it has unified the party. And not only the party, not only the delegates and the attendees and the people under the roof here at the arena — but just the country.”

Allen believes current events will make the party stronger in the long run.

“I think that one thing we can take away from him from his circumstances, the courage and sacrifice, and as we reflect on our lives, what do we focus on? Let’s focus on relationships with each other,” he said. “Let’s focus on what’s real in our lives. Let’s [not] focus on those things that are counterfeit out there. Let’s focus on what’s real and endless. Let’s focus on our faith. And I think that’ll make us stronger and I know that I’m excited moving forward to November the fifth and there’s a lot of excitement here in Milwaukee.”

The Secretary of State is also optimistic about the Republican ticket because he believes they will work hard on election integrity.

“Only American citizens should be voting in our elections plain and simple,” he argued. “And Speaker Johnson and I discussed that. I told him to stand tall, stand strong. Don’t back down. Let’s keep pushing it. And that’s why we got to have President Trump in the Oval Office as far as we got to have a Senate GOP majority and the House GOP majority. Yes, it’s very important to put these common sense reforms to the NVRA in place to allow us give us tools to verify citizenship.”

Allen also said he can’t wait to hear Trump’s speech on Thursday.

“There was a lot of energy last night, but I can guarantee you Thursday night when the President takes the podium to give for the American people a conservative vision, that he’s going to communicate a unifying message in my opinion,” Allen said. “He’s got to communicate to the to the American public, moving the country forward, getting the country out of the ditch, taking on inflation, making us energy dominant, making sure we can pay for groceries, making sure we can pay for gasoline, making sure we shut down the border, making sure election integrity is top priority. All those things are really really important. And I’m looking forward to hearing about it and I think the electricity and the energy is gonna be through the roof on Thursday night.”
