There is a concerted effort on cable news and in the pages of newspapers to opine that we need to see the broken bodies of people killed in mass shootings.
When Emmett Till was killed in Mississippi, his mother allowed his bloated and damaged face to be seen by the nation. It shocked people and showed what vicious racism had done.
The issues are not parallels. People see the deaths and are shocked by them. The debate is not over whether the issues exist but instead about whether the solutions actually will be solved in the way the media and their Democrats want them solved.
