University of Alabama head football coach Kalen DeBoer was introduced to students and fans at the basketball game against Missouri in Coleman Coliseum on Tuesday night.
“It’s so awesome to be here,” DeBoer said.
“This has happened really fast. We’ve got a lot of great news coming out with recruiting, our staff. I can’t wait to ingrain myself in this community, what a special place! What a special place, the standard is Alabama. The standard is Alabama! Can’t wait to be here, let’s keep supporting all of the athletic teams. Roll Tide!”

DeBoer has been extremely well received since being hired as Alabama’s head coach, with a massive crowd showing up at Tuscaloosa Regional Airport on Friday night to welcome him upon his arrival.

He has his work cut out for him, however, with players entering the portal left and right in the extra 30-day portal window granted to Crimson Tide players due to the clause around the departure of a head coach.
Most of DeBoer’s staff has been filled out, but now they must turn their focus to recruiting the players currently still on the roster from leaving.
