U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) took time from his schedule this week to stop by the 96th annual Association of County Commissions of Alabama Convention.
While at the event, Tuberville had the opportunity to speak with attendees about increasing federal-state partnerships to better serve Alabamians across the state. Additionally, he met with ACCA President-elect and Calhoun County Commissioner Lee Patterson and current ACCA President and Jefferson County Commissioner Joe Knight.
The Senator posted on social media about his visit with the officials.
“Great to be with county commissioners from all across Alabama this week,” Tuberville said. “These local leaders play an important role in making sure Alabamians in rural counties make their voices heard.”

Per Ballotpedia, the Association of County Commissions of Alabama (ACCA), is a section 115(1), purely governmental, nonprofit organization that lobbies for the interests of county commissions before the legislative and executive branches of the Alabama state government. It is a state chapter of the National Association of Counties.
