U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) is calling on the leadership in the Senate to have a fair impeachment trail against the current head of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
The House delivered the impeachment articles against DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas Tuesday, but some Republicans expect Schumer to hold a vote to immediately dismiss the impeachment charges sometime Wednesday to skip a trial on the floor.
Tuberville discussed the issue Tuesday on Newsmax.
"Never has this happened in the U.S. Senate or the United States Congress."

“Never has this happened in the United State Senate or in Congress,” Tuberville said. “If article come over, the impeachment trial goes on.”
The senator said he fully expects his Democrat colleagues to vote for dismissing the charges.

“They’re not going to let that happen,” he argued. “They’re going to vote 51-49 to table this, to go to the next bill, forget about this.”
Tuberville believes the Democratic members of Congress don’t have their priorities in order.
“You know what gets me? They’re talking about Iran, they’re talking about Ukraine, they’re talking about all this other money,” he said. “They’re not talking about helping the American people at the southern border. It’s an absolute disgrace. Chuck Schumer, one day he’s after Israel, the next day he’s for Israel. I mean, these people, they do not have any consistency or any brevity about them in terms of supporting the American people. It’s an absolute shame.”
