U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) is concerned that the United States will become more like Europe when it comes to the spread of radical Islamism.
The senator has been calling for an end to any implementation of Sharia Law in America. Tuberville, who is also a candidate for Governor of Alabama in 2026, recently spoke about it on the Senate floor and also introduced the No Sharia Act and the Preserving a Sharia Free America Act.
Tuberville pointed to New York City as the epicenter of the growing problem on “The Todd Starnes Show” Friday.
“Muslims are getting ready to take over New York,” Tuberville said. “They’re going to run everybody out of New York, unless you’re a Muslim and Sharia law and and study the Quran, all those crazy things that are trying to take over this country. We’re going to turn into Europe, but we don’t want don’t watch it.”
Tuberville’s comments are also in reaction to the recent election of Zohran Mamdani to be the next mayor of New York City.
“Todd, in your or in my lifetime, we will see New York City nothing but Muslims,” he continued. “It will be a third world country, just like San Francisco, just like Detroit, it will be brought to its knees, it’ll continue to spread. We have got to do something about this Muslim Brotherhood nonsense. If you teach in Sharia law, you got to go now.”
“We’re a country of immigrants,” he added. “If you want to assimilate and go to the Constitution and don’t want to burn a flag, you know, don’t chant Death to America. Hey, we’re all for you. You know, big part of our country. But if you’re coming here to change it, it’s time to take your butt home, because we cannot allow this to fester up and this, this should ring alarm bell. What happened in New York? Because they will take it over. Everybody will move out, except if you’re a Muslim, and Sharia all over. And then it will continue to grow. It’s got to stop.”
Tuberville believes this is one of many reasons to consider getting rid of the filibuster in the U.S. Senate.
“And so we got to give President Trump the ability to what the American people wanted is take our country back, and we’re sitting here in the Senate going, Oh, it’s the tradition. We can’t do it. I mean, that’s not the way we’ve done in the past,” he said. “This is not the same country we’ve had in the past. And we better wake up and smell the road.”
