ANNISTON, Ala. — The Transportation Security Agency (TSA) is coming under fire this week after it was discovered the blue-clad agents who pat down air travelers missed 95 percent of weapons in recent testing by the Department of Homeland Security, leaving many Americans wondering if there’s a better way to ensure their safety while flying. One Alabama company may hold the answer.
AMK9, which partners with the Auburn University veterinary school, has developed a method of training dogs to be able to sniff out threats, even in crowded areas.

Two Vapor Wake® detection dogs are now on duty at Ohatchee High School in Calhoun County, the first high school in the country to use the specially-trained canines. Detection dogs are already in use across the country at sporting events, public gatherings, and other large-scale events.
