U.S. News and World Report released their latest ranking of the top-ten high schools in Alabama.
Of the 25,000 U.S. public high schools they measured, 359 Alabama schools made the rankings.
U.S. News said its rankings were based primarily on test scores for math, reading and science.
The schools listed represented Huntsville, Birmingham, Montgomery, Mobile, and some surrounding areas. Out of the cities ranked, Birmingham had the most schools that made it into the group.

- Mountain Brook High School (Birmingham)
- Homewood High School (Birmingham)
- New Century Tech Demo High School (Huntsville)
- Vestavia High School (Birmingham)
- Spain Park High School (Birmingham)
- Brewbaker Tech Magnet School (Montgomery)
- James Clemens High School (Madison)
- Oak Mountain High School (Birmingham)
- Auburn High School (Auburn)
U.S. News & World Report also broke down their rankings for the following regions: Birmingham, Mobile, Huntsville and Montgomery.
