Today is the final day to register to vote in Alabama

Today, Monday, October 21, is the last day for Alabamians to register to vote for the upcoming November 5, 2024 election. Secretary of State Wes Allen issued a reminder to Alabama’s residents.

“Alabama citizens can rest assured that the Alabama Secretary of State’s office and local election officials are well-equipped to handle voter registration in Alabama,” said Allen. “Trusted voter registration and election information can be found on the Secretary of State’s official website.”

Electronic voter registration may be completed by visiting the official Alabama Secretary of State’s website until 11:59 p.m. Monday night. A paper voter registration form may be delivered in person or by mail to your local Board of Registrars.

On election day, polls will be open 7 am to 7 pm. Voters are required to present a valid form of photo identification when voting at their polling place or by absentee ballot. Cumulative election results will be posted on the Alabama Secretary of State’s website at www.AlabamaVotes.gov.
