‘This is an invasion’: Alabama leaders react to video of illegal border-crossers rushing National Guard troops in Texas

Elected leaders across Alabama continue to speak out against the Biden administration’s border policies after video of migrants rushing the border went viral Thursday.

The video taken by The New York Post showed several hundred illegal immigrants rushing National Guard troops at the southern border in El Paso.

According to FOX News, it was 300 illegal immigrants and roughly 100 adult males who rushed the soldiers. Only one has been arrested so far for assaulting a solider. WATCH:

“There are consequences to crossing the border illegally, and CBP continues to enforce United States immigration laws,” Customs and Border Protection said in a statement. “Individuals and families without a legal basis to remain in the U.S. are subject to removal, and are subject to a minimum five-year bar on reapplying for admission and potential criminal prosecution if they subsequently re-enter without authorization. No one should believe the lies of smugglers; individuals and families without a legal basis to remain in the United States will be removed.”

U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) reacted to the video and said this is the “real March madness.”

U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Hoover) said this is more evidence that what’s going on at the border is an “invasion.”

U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) also called the border crisis an invasion.
